Even as I continue to work in clay, my newest pieces are collage on paper and sculpture in wire and cast resin.   The challenge of conceiving an idea and using different media has been an exciting development.

My inspiration comes from pattern and form found in nature.  Nature fascinates me and provides a limitless source of ideas and reflection.  My most recent work continues to be inspired by images of neural cell patterns in the human brain.

All along, ceramic and wooden forms from ancient cultures have intrigued me.   I have particularly loved forms from African, pre-Columbian and Pacific Archipelago societies.
